Acid Leakage at MARPORT

HCl (HYDROCHLORIC ACID %30) IMDG 8/II, UN 1789 LEAKAGE CONTROLLED AND TRANSFERRED BY OUR TEAM AT MARPORT, AMBARLI, ISTANBUL PORT SAFELY.

One of the major shipping line ARKAS equipment and Marport terminal were in danger and Acid was leaking from IBC and HCI were damaging container even steel parts. Liner request our assistance and our hazardous team intervented the situation and after custom approval, we have transferred HCl from leakage IBC containers to new ones safely under survey of Marport authorities and insurance, liner surveyors.

During operation, We have used personal protective equipment (PPE) protective clothing, helmets, goggles, masks and other equipment designed to protect the wearer’s body from injury. Beside, we used special Acid pump (electric sourced) to avoid possible damage to pump and pumping operation.
